Certificate of Analysis for Food Manufacturers: Batch-to-COA Workflow

Turn batch specifications, sample results, approvals, and release data into a consistent certificate of analysis for food customers.

By Sudharsan GSPublished 21 August 20261 min read

A certificate of analysis gives a customer the approved quality results for a specific finished-food batch. The strongest workflow creates it from the same batch record used by production, inventory, and quality.

Build the COA from controlled records

  1. Define product specifications and parameter units.
  2. Create the finished batch through production.
  3. Draw and identify the sample against that batch.
  4. Record results, observations, and any retest.
  5. Review results against specifications.
  6. Approve the quality release.
  7. Generate the COA with product, batch, dates, parameters, results, and approver.

Keep the customer document consistent

Use a stable template, clear parameter names, real units, specification ranges, result values, and the released batch identity. Revisions should retain a history of who changed the record and why.

FactoStack connects COA-ready quality data with quality management, production batches, lot inventory, and the food processing solution.
